Replacing a Fuel Pump in a Pickup!
After contemplating how i was going to get to this expired fuel pump located in the top of the fuel tank of my pickup truck.
After crawling under the truck and looking at what was involved in dropping the fuel tank to get to the fuel pump, i decided there was a better way.
Using an engine hoist, i unbolted the truck bed and lifted it off of the frame, exposing the readily accessible fuel pump. Moments later i had the old pump out and the new one in. Bolt the bed back down and shazzam. Easy as pie (the frozen kind).

Its a good time to put a extra coat of paint on the frame as well when this is done.

Thanks for your response, I wasn't sure if you would welcome a member from North America since your whole site is oriented toward European members. But I figured it would be fun to learn from each others experiences. As is the case in most of rural America, most households have pick up trucks or 4 wheel drives. ( to tell the truth in my area, you are in dire straits without one). I have loads of experience putting in suspension lifts, body lifts, air locking differentials. and multiple shocks, so if you have any questions I might be able to help with. Feel free to shoot me a PM.
