Todays visit from Navara 1
just a brief one until later , Navara1 came to my premises , installed a 'superchip' in my Nav and took me for a drive in his Nav.
Will post when i have had a chance to take mine for a good spin but the mpg went up immediately and the truck felt sharper.
But the most important part to report about the afternoon was that Lee drives like an absolute lunatic ... his Nav (which he tells me is in the process of being dechipped) was like s**t off a stick ...he actually scared me 70mph in 3rd (on my private track)... lunatic is an understatement...
Only joking Lee ... you did scare me but it was a pleasure to meet you and i'll see you on Friday to fit me the new filter ... and to pay you of course.
i need to get some work done now.

Re: Todays visit from Navara 1
Just got home ...
first impressions were good ... the truck felt 'sharper' but then after a short drive i wasn't too sure ...the mpg shot straight up to 25 , then after a reset went back down ... anyway we did a ecu reset ? , pumping the gas pedal etc ...
Lee then took me for the aforementioned 'spin' in his Nav GTI where i soiled my jeans.
After the short drive home (3 miles of stop start teatime traffic) the mpg has gone from 17.8 last week to 19.5
this shows 19.1 after i had parked up for a while on my drive)
Still not great i know but a not insignificant increase...am going to Northwich on Wednesday so will be able to give it a good test then.
Lee is fitting me a k&n filter on Friday so hopefully a little more power there as well.
Hopefully once i have had chance to give the Nav a proper drive i will be able to report a continued increase in mpg and power.
Lots of thanks to Lee who i have to say bamboozled me with lots of tech talk and i'm glad we shared the same opinion of the D-man on the dark side (ask Lee)
Finally , when Lee gets his new truck and tunes it as he says he will ... God help us all

Looks like great work Lee, impressive stuff
you wouldn't have said that if you were going at 70 in a 2 ton truck towards a space wide enough for a push bike...
Re: Todays visit from Navara 1
Great write up mate, and you have confirmed for us that Lee is a looney
