well i was quite busy today so still aint had time to bolt it all back together yet, but had just enough time to get the satnav bypass done and it works a treat now ........ I even impressed myself with that

You can now start the truck by remote and it bypasses the power to the satnav, so it does not go into "secure mode". You can then get in the truck, put key in ignition to resume manual control and if by magic the satnav then powers up in normal mode

That sounds like a right old pain, glad its sorted though buddy, i'm itching to see this write up

will get something thrown together when i get enough "quite" time without the phone ringing or kids fighting
