Well i couldn't believe the difference in power, i was sure that it wasn't that big of a difference until today!! good god it was like my brakes where stuck on Shocked

The reason i took it off was my truck has started to sound like a bag of spanners in the morning, and i mean a bag of spanners, its embarrassing, so i need to get the injectors sorted as i'm guessing its that or the map for the fuel!! will soon see i suppose!!!

Its been there for a while and just started to get really noisy today, so i had a quick look and its either the fuelling or injectors !! Rolling Eyes if i could find someone with the client software it wouldn't be half the battle!! i'll sort it though, its just annoying, and i might have guessed as I'm not a fan of Renault parts!!

You saying about Renault parts, makes you wonder what you are really buying...... When fitting my alarm on the truck, I found out the BCM is a Peugeot / Citroen part !! it even has the bloody badges moulded onto the plugs affraid

I have to agree mate, My old Dad had one of the first Nissan Kingcabs back in the early 80's and that lasted for over 200,000 miles with no problems at all. Some how doubt the new stuff of today will last anything like as well......
Have just found an old photo (1984 i think) of when my Dad got his new truck......

Nice pic and a nice new Nissan, lovely thumbsup i must say though i've had a few of the latest motors, from the RRS to the 5 series and IMO they are all the same, absolute tosh, the only thing that i had recently that was excellent was the 90's A4 i think the B5 now that was built to last, i did over 100K in it sold it with 180K and its still going with over 250k on the clock Shocked

Dont get me wrong.... I like the techy / gadgets in all the new motors that are about, but its all way to much to go wrong.
Like with the trucks, you used to have "levers" to engage 4wd not plastic electric "switches", Diesel engines that just started and run without the aid of computers and sensors....... Like you say, dont think you will be seeing many 10 / 20 year old D40 navs still driving about in the future Suspect

I agree, but what gets me is the use of shoddy parts scratch thats how the UK ended up with no car industry, making to the cheapest spec, it just doesn't work!! have they never heard the saying keep it simple? I've took a look at the Nav and i don't think it will be around neither, its over complicated, an under achiever if you like, more like a throw away car than a work horse, but so is the competition!!! So i've no answers other than wait to see if the VW can get it right first time out!

I agree but only if its not reliant on electronics scratch the moment any manufacture goes down that route its curtains, at the end of the day what should be evident in every concept should be the use of mechanical set up with electronic back up not the other way round!!
