Well here's the thing........put meter on battery and it shows something like 12,65v........then when i plug the solar panel in the reading drops slightly........about 12,55v......does that seem right..........
Also the panel had been on for 24 hours before i did the check.....would that make any difference......

The power from your battery drop to about 12.3 ish when not in use, so that sounds about right buddy as it just maintains the battery when your truck is running it will charge at about 14v

Is it right though rislar that the figure drops when i plug in the panel.....i would have thought it would have increased.....or is it me....(again)

No its you as there is no sun so anything plugged in will see a drop, just a little one though
