Question New Car for the Wife!

Post by Rislar Sat Jan 16, 2010 4:35 am

Hi all, i've been out today looking for a new car for the wife! she really likes the Ford Fiesta as she already has the last model, but i'm not sure, especially as they are £12k for the ztec Shocked the APR is 4.9% over 2 years which isn't bad but i believe that i could get a better deal on that or another manufacturer!

What do you guys think?

Question Re: New Car for the Wife!

Post by Dave C Sat Jan 16, 2010 2:06 pm

Don't forget if you go for the car.......work on the % rate if you can......i have done it loads of times........it goes something like this.......the other half is really interested and plays up to the sales staff.....taking in all their bluff.......whilst you on the otherhand play it cool.......your'e only there to buy a car for the Mrs.......and just keep saying i will do it but i am not paying 4.9%......make it 2.5% and it's a deal.......

Then just sit back whilst they go and see the manager/ess and see what happens.....i have always got the rate down......everytime........but if you don't you haven't lost anything.........it all depends when they have to pay the manufactuer for their stock.......sometimes the deals are there....sometimes not.....good luck ....hope you get a deal.... goodjob
