Added Security

I suppose i dread the thought of some tike (posh term used to describe thieving low life barsteward) having it away with my beloved pick up........

So in addition to the standard alarm I have added a tracker system but i also use a disc lock......whick basically fits all away around the steering wheel with a good lock fitted......in tests they reckon it slows the 'tike' down by about 15 mins......maybe in reality it makes no difference at all but it makes me feel a little better.

This cost me about £35 of e-bay......there are cheaper models out there .....but hey.....pays your money takes your choice......from shops these normally cost about £70.

I was nearly tempted to buy the 'clutch claw'........which fits across your 3 pedals......this costs again about £70....but decided against is as i didn't want the 'hassle' of bending down to put it on/off.......Don't know if you can use it on Auto's either.

Anybody else got any 'improvements' which you may wish to share.......

Also, Because the immobilisers are so good nowadays the latest trend is to break into people's houses to get the keys so as to steal the vehicle.......

.......this is happening......happened to a pal of mine down in Southampton.....broke in .....stole keys to Audi TT and another Audi.......first my friend knew was when the police knocked him up at 3 in the morning.......so hide those keys......

Unreal the steps one needs to take to stop the scum bags the trouble is the sentance for such crimes, if hey get caught is minimal

I think you will appreciate this Tony.......several years ago i was in a Golf.....when i stopped at some traffic lights, in Southwark when a lad jumped in (this was at midnight mind) and was just in the process of gently explaining to me that he wanted my wallet.....when My Gsd and Rottie that were asleep in the back thought it was only right to have a word with my new friend...

Took me ages to clean up the claret....

I'd have loved to seen his face

We got him about 2 months ago,
He's not fully grown yet, only just a year old .

Wasn't good after.....the face took the most of the teeth....
