Did you get my post about the apps?

Oh yes it does, the only thing you need to do is pinch the screen so you can read the posts, and thats why i've changed a few things, you know their is always a method behind the madness
Re: General Chat, any old crack!

You use your index finger and your thumb to "pinch" the screen to make the text or screen larger or smaller

Hello dave, i though it was a ghost town then
I meant to ask, what do you use the truck for or is your username a give away?

Re: General Chat, any old crack!
Obviously I'm a sparky, but I've worked my way up from the tools to Foreman, Supervisor and subsequently a Contracts Manager for the same firm for the last 20 odd years. For the best part of that time I've been working in the Highway Electrical sector, although I have a Domestic background.
Due to recent redundancy I've set up on my own, so the truck is a work van, but due to the missus not driving, it's also a family car for me, the trouble & strife, the nipper and the hound.
So far it seems to be serving it's purpose perfectly.

Re: General Chat, any old crack!
Very good a man after my own heart, i also worked my way up! started as a mechanic, then moved into Management (like your good self) then bought the company i was working for, one thing for me is the satisfaction of doing my own thing, i personally love it Hats of to you as its not easy setting about on your own
Re: General Chat, any old crack!
Cheers
Had a few weeks of stress and worry (and spending frightening amounts of cash setting up), but also excitement....
Last week was my first week and despite having to get out there and graft in snow and mud, not having the stress of management has been wonderful.
So far the turnover has exceeded expectations, but can't see further ahead than a week or two at the moment. If the current workload continues, then all will be fine and it'll be the best thing that ever happened to me. OK I'm doing the work I was doing 10-15 years ago, but for 3 x the cash.

Re: General Chat, any old crack!
I know exactly what you are going through, i put my house up as collateral and mortgaged myself to the hilt to get started, its a very scary time and i'm sure your work will speak for itself and you will be very successful
At the end of the day you'll only regret the things you didn't try
