Speed Camera Detectors
Hi Guys,
Just thought i would throw this one in to the forum,.....Speed Camera detectors....anyone had them?....How good are they? .......
I'am just thinking of the 'snooper' of 'road angel'.......not too dear........but a mate at work is thinking of getting one.....he looked on tinterweb.....and ended up getting all confused........He knows about the downloads on the sat'nav's but doesn't want to do that....etc.....
So what do you know?....what's the best of the best.......
Many thanks.......Dc

Re: Speed Camera Detectors
Cheers Brillo,
Well i have actually got a couple of (yes i went for one as well....had to be done) road angel plus...........nice and cheap......even the subs are reasonable......been playing with it this afternoon......and it has one or two different locations being warned as against my TomTom system......only drove about 20 miles or so......and I know the warned sites they do put their mobile camera truck.....so hey....
I found the loading and setting up on the computer a little difficult......i know, no surprises there.....and although it wasn't too hard .....it was certainly 'hidden' how to get to some of the files........and ofcourse had to work my way through firewalls etc etc.......but now it is set up .....it's all easy peasy......got them for £90 each......so overall not too bad.....they are the older oval version.......but even on e-bay they start at about £160......and i think look nice......

Re: Speed Camera Detectors
Guys the two i have i got of ebay, always get the seller to give you the serial no, then check it on the V1 website...you want software version 1.7 at least better still 1.8 which is the top.. also there are two sizes (only a small difference) but it does matter (IMO) the large one has an LED under the main detector screen on the controls side..
on ebay you can get the 1.8 for around £125 - 175 as new
hope this helps, will try and get photos up of the two sizes
