Different spec's from around the world
Hi guy's and girl's.
Thought I'd post a couple of pic's to show the different spec's our side of the world gets to yours.
I own the top of the range D40 available in NZ but as you can see we do not get Navigation unit, stereo steering wheel controls, auto lights, fog lights front or rear (although I have front because i fitted after market)(but we do have 2 reverse lights), heated and/or electric seats(although leather is an option but only a handfull have it), engine warm up switch, climate control, outside temp reading (although I have fitted after market), fuel usage trip computer, auto wipers, factory roof racks or sun roof.
Don't think I've missed any thing off.
Have to say thank you to mr Nissan for putting universal wiring looms in though so I was able to add the fog lights and outside temp display using Nissan parts.
Another thing is our dash display is different in that we don't have MPH and the bottom line on our fuel gauge has a white line instead of a red one and our indicators and wiper leavers are on the other side to yours.

Thought I'd add.
We do get 2wd models and a v6 petrol motor which you northerners don't get.

Just as well, you can keep the 2WD but i'd love to see the V6 Petrol, is it a Renault unit?

Don't know it's engine code is VQ40DE and it's 4L DOHC V6 motor producing 198kw @4000rpm (265HP) and 385Nm @2000rpm so is that a Renault unit?

Re: Different spec's from around the world
Our Carribean models are as basic as they come:
-Single disc cd player, no nav options, compass, steering wheel audio controls, cruise control, headlight washers. 4 speakers.
16" wheels and tires only. Hi power LE (174hp) and mid power SE (144hp) engines available. SE has narrower wheel arches with 205 tires instead of the LE's 255's.
The good news however, is that we get no DPF, cat and a factory blocked EGR system, so its very easy, and legal, to go for big power mods

in a way thats better, you might not have the gadgets but you make up for that with a few tweaks, i likes
Re: Different spec's from around the world
Not putting cruise control on models for the island nations in the Carribean is fairly obvious; I remember asking one of my Nav buddys if he got a lot of smoke with his CR chip at 100+mph, and he replied that he would be off the island by the time he went that fast....

I agree, it looks like Nissan has really altered the spec for us and i can see why they sell a shed load here
