Ford F Series
It is almost unbelievable that the second ranked in total sale is a pick-up vehicle. Even more impressive information is that this vehicle reached such a score only on North American territory. However, the most surprising is the fact that Ford’s F series is at present the best selling car in the world. Every year Ford sells almost a million cars, that is almost one vehicle every 30 seconds. So far, 25 million vehicles of the F series were sold.
The Ford F-Series was introduced in 1976 and became a huge success for the Ford Motor Company. The Ford F-150 is mainly produced in Dearborn, Michigan.
The Ford F-Series are classified as full-size trucks. Some trim options, depending on the year models, include the XL, XLT, and XLT Lariat. Harley-Davidson, King Ranch, Lightning, and Super Crew versions are also available.
The Ford F-Series also has heavy duty models available as the F-250 and F-350. The Ford Truck's engine sizes and types are listed to the right.

Re: Ford F Series
There are a few errors in the info on the f series, The F series started in 1948, ( the 1950s f 100 is a great hot rod truck) Also the generation 10 ended in 2003, 2004 through 2008 was generation 11 and 2008 through current is generation 12.
I had a couple 60's f 100 trucks, I had a 1977 f100 in high school and I just bought a 1979 f150 for a winter restoration project. I also have had a few broncos which is the suv based on the ford truck platform. short wheelbase and lots of power, they would go anywhere! I currently have a 2002 f150 extended cab 4x4.
The Wikipedia has much of this info on ford f series if you are interested. I would post a link but iam not permitted yet.
